Indie brand Imaginary Authors has launched A Little Secret. Like the other fragrances in the line, it was inspired by an imaginary book by an imaginary author.*

Cleo Gordon doesn’t belong but she sees no way out. She’s too beautiful for the small mountain town where she’s spent her whole life, too educated to relate to the locals, and too curious for her own good. Her quest to find light in the encroaching darkness leads her to catalog everything in her life that brings joy, from a slice of cherry pie chased by a cup of black coffee to the sound of a roaring waterfall in the pitch-black night. Her observations of “Life’s Little Luxuries” redefine what it means to be rich in today’s world, but with affluence comes responsibility. How Cleo navigates this new abundance of wealth is seen as both foolish and brilliant, but which is it?

Diners, truckstops, and dives of yore, candy-colored recollections of adolescent infatuations, Devouring a slice of Grandma’s cherry pie

The notes include Rainier cherry, marzipan, patchouli, saffron, demerara sugar, rum-soaked tonka and pastry crust.

Imaginary Authors A Little Secret is $115 for 50 ml Eau de Parfum. There is also a mug, at the moment it appears to be free with a 50 ml bottle but who can say.

*Or, it’s an April Fools joke. Even after reading the comments on Instagram I am not 100% sure. I like it, whatever it is.
