Happy Friday! It’s also the 10th day of Christmas (lords a-leaping), plus National Chocolate Covered Cherry Day. Birthdays: Lucretia Mott and John Ronald Reuel Tolkien.  Our community project for today: wear a fragrance to match Mocha Mousse, Pantone’s color of the year for 2025: “For 2025, the Pantone Color Institute selects PANTONE 17-1230 Mocha Mousse, a warming, brown hue imbued with richness. It nurtures us with its suggestion of the delectable qualities of chocolate and coffee, answering our desire for comfort. // Underpinned by our desire for every day pleasures, PANTONE 17-1230 Mocha Mousse expresses a level of thoughtful indulgence. Sophisticated and lush, yet at the same time an unpretentious classic, PANTONE 17-1230 Mocha Mousse extends our perceptions of the browns from being humble and grounded to embrace aspirational and luxe.”

What fragrance did you pick? As always, do chime in with your scent of the day even if you’re not participating in the community project.

I’m in Bvlgari Omnia (hat tip to SheriG yesterday), which ticks several boxes for Mocha Mousse: brown color on bottle, chocolate note, “thoughtful indulgence”, “unpretentious”.

Reminder: on 1/10, we’re off to Denmark! Wear a perfume that is named for a place in Denmark, or that reminds you of a (real or imaginary) trip to Denmark, or that features a local ingredient, or ?

And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2025, where I’ll try (but usually fail) to have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.
